Thumbs up Highest Mileage

Who has the highest mileage out of their disco? Let's see just how long these things run! I've seen people's signatures with over 200k mi, I'd like to see just how many are above that number and if the engine is rebuilt or not. I'll start:

2002 with 308700 km, or about 192000 mi. Engine's never been rebuilt

Mine bit the dust at 156k, but I've seen ONE disco 2 with just over 300k. Can't remember where I saw it. It was an early year, one or two owner truck, and still on the original engine (sans head gaskets, I'm sure).

I have one about 192k miles as well. I know someone with over 400k miles. I'll ask to take a photo.

235k on the original engine in my 02 Kalahari. It’s had HG’s replaced, but the engine itself hasn’t been torn down. Runs superb and is actually the smootest running 4.0L I own.

My other high mileage LR was my 97 Range Rover 4.6L HSE Vitesse with 192k on it when I sold it & the new owner put another 52k on it without any issues until I lost touch with him after a hurricane back in the day (Rita or Ike).

The rest of my LR’s range from 108k to 148k.

225k.

Original bottom half...same heads, everything except gaskets, oil pump, ps pump, water pump, and the alternator is still original.

Doing my second head gasket change currently.

So I am about ready to turn over 130k on mine. Sounds like Tricky Dick is basically brand new compared to you guys.

My 2002 has just over 230,000 miles on the original power train. One head gasket in its life, serviced with 20w50 since 50k miles, converted to BMW blue coolant since 2013.

Rebuilt front axle, and that's it besides little stuff like P38 alternator, hoses, rad, etc..

I agree with Best4x4, my 4.0 runs the smoothest. It's been the most reliable Rover V8 I've owned, and I'd have to say that's the 4.0 in general. My 3.9 RRC's hg failed dramatically with 95k~ a few weeks ago but no budget for that..
