Ya never ever try and avoid it, this is what will kill you. That picture of the red truck above looks like the deer jumped at the last second considering there is no damage to the front of the truck.

I used to always worry about a deer's antlers coming through and ramming a hole in my face but then I just remember that life has risks and hitting a deer is one of them but not the most likely way for me to die lol.

Kind of like terrorism.

I suppose it could, but there is a reason glass replacement cost so much.
I'm in CT these days but have lived in NH and VT and ME and a few other New England places. Moose are the worst - unless you have a sporty car then they just go right over the roof...

If you look you will find that the most fatalities happen when the animal comes through the windshield and kills the passenger that way. Moose are an easy visual if you've ever seen one. They are as big as a horse. The bottom of their stomach is going to be exactly level to your windshield wiper blades... and they will land on your lap at 60mph and kill you. Deer can bounce and be a little lower so the deer tend to kill car drivers much more than bigger SUV drivers but still, these animals come through windshields quite often - at least here in CT they do all the time.

I stand corrected.
I have never heard of a deer coming though a windshield before.

This is just me, but I live off a dirt road so when ever I’m turning to go home I flip my rack lights on and blind the deer that way I can drive around them and not worry about them moving! Works every time!

You guys don't have roof mounted assault rifles?

These are Rovers, not purses. MAN UP!

Or you could install one of these if you're really nervous about deer attacks.
