Default Homelink/Compass/Cigar Lighter/Radio/wipers

I plug in phone charger with phone already attachedinto cigarette lighter (CL) and it turned radio off. Not only that but the homelink transmitter stops working. I park and wait until next dayand is now raining; so turn windshield wipers (WW) and again radio turns off.WW also stop workingcompletely but can still hear its relay clicking under the steering column. Radio works as long as I don't try to turn WW. Cigarette lighter doesn't work at all. Checked for blown fuses inside the cabin, but all are ok. The center console by passenger side where accesory hook is at is hot to the touch after normal driving, and this is after I've removed the CL fuse. The center console was always warm when engine got to operating temp, but now is hot.All these problemscaused byplugingcell phone into CL. Picking up a tester to check fusebox next.
Vehicle Stats: '01 Disco SE, 78k mi.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest you take it to a shop and have them checkit cause if you don't know what to look for, you may burn up a wire harness in the process.
