Default Hood won't close

I was working on my car, and when I try closing the hood, it won't shut completely. What happened?

Try greasing the mechanism where the hood mates to the body.

You’re Welcome. It happened to me years ago after removing the hood, and I adjusted and adjusted, no affect, greased it, hasn’t done it since.

Hi, if you use motorcycle chain lubricant once a year it never seizes up but also be aware the operating cable can also seize or break.

The loop that connects my cable to the bracket has stretched and I had to twist a little piece of wire in there to reduce play. I should check on that.......
