Default How to clean muddy undercarriage and especially engine

Just got done with a hella-fun session at the dairy. It has been raining for the past three days, creating one gi-normous mud pit behind the dairy. Almost tipped the Rover over a couple of times hitting huge mud puddles. Even with bad tires nothing could hold this baby back!! Unfortunetly for me after the fun I had tons of mud stuck everywhere. I pressure washed most of it off but I still have a lot of dirt in and on the engine. Should I just use the engine cleaner at the car wash or is there a safer way to clean. Thanks for the help.

A powerwasher works great on the engine, just dont get to close to certain parts because it could knock a hose out or something. I powerwash mine all the time and it does a great job. Get on your knees and you can do the bottom too.

You ran your truck thru cow S--T, boy that has to smell.
Next time you do that go to the local car wash and power scrub everything till it is clean cause boy it will smell like carp for a long time otherwise.

Yeah stay away from the alt & plug wires. I accidently sprayed my alt on an Acura I had many years ago and it let the smoke out.

I have run the hose right into the alternator, there was mud inside it. No problems for me. You can spray your plugs/wires. Just don't turn the truck on right away or you will get a engine light.
