How do I activate heated seats?
Just ordered this part on eBay to replace my non-heated seat option lay out... does anyone have a how to on activating the seats, and will I need any extra parts?
2004 LRD2 SE7 All Leather
When you remove the existing switch panel to install the new one, you'll see two green plugs that aren't plugged into anything. Those are your heated seat switch plugs. Look under the seat next and you'll see a...yellow(?)...plug that's similarly not plugged into anything. It should be obvious when you look under there. I did this with my 2002. Fifteen minutes of fussing around, and what was once a several hundred dollar option almost two decades ago, was nearly free to enjoy.
Can confirm. It's plug and play.
I also added two motors (used ebay) on the pass seat and now it is height adjustable. I guess it was an expensive option then too. Lumbar support can be added on the pass seat too. The switch works and wiring is there.

Ahhh... I was wondering if that height adjustment was retrofittable. How was the motor install?
I've understood you need leather seats to have the seat heating option.
My SE has leather seats but didn't have the seat heat switches. I bought the center switch panel with the seat heater switches and it was plug and play. Still works great.

also this yellow plug that’s not plugged to anything ... did you plug it into something?
Heated Seat relay is black, wiring connector is color coded per side & the switches are keyed for passenger/driver. Normally all leather seats = came with heated elements from the factory as it saved the production line from having two lines. Switches are usually all that are needed.
