Default How do I install brake pipes

I was changing my flexible brake hoses today and I busted one of the pipes. I did a check to the other pipes and noticed that several were pretty rusty. I ordered the kit from AB with all the pipes and I was wondering how I change them.

thanks

I just purchased same from AB. I was installing the SS brake +2” extensions and could not remove the pipe connection on the front right. Called them to ask same thing after getting the kit and they told me to remove old pipe and hand bend the new pipe copying it, then install. length and connections fit just fine. Bought a tool to bend the remaining pipes so they fit/look better. My cursed wuss hands !

We are in the same place it seems. I am also installing the +2” kit. How did you access the brake lines that run along the drivers side. I do not see them.

Believe you are talking about the two small lines ? You actually bend that piece up to get access. Doesn’t seem right but Watch the video on AB site if you haven’t already.

what you need id an insitu brake forming tool, then all you do it buy a coil of brake pipe and new ends make them as you go, I bend the pipes over my knee of it I need a tighter bend I use to ring spanners over the pipe evenly round the bend

I’m realistic about my abilities. :-). I should learn but it’s just not something I do enough...yet.

Thanks for all the help. Is there a problem with removing the pipes today and installing the new ones Wednesday?
