Smile How do I replace door lock actuator?

Can someone smarter than me point me in the right direction to learn how to remove the driver side rear door panel, and how to replace the door lock actuator? I have an '03 Disco. Thanks. Goncho

when you get almost to the end and are trying to remove the window frame look carefully, the RAVE manual leaves out the removal of two screws. Just do what it says then if you look you should find the two that are left.

Whole process only took me about 30 minutes or so. pretty easy if you have the RAVE and the tools

Sorry to jump in here, but my locks have started to get a little sluggish so I am expecting to have this job in my near future. When you say "tools" is there anything special needed to make this job a 30 minute job rather than a 2 hr job? Panel popper? Sledge hammer?

Yeah don't take the window frame out. If you take off the bottom bolt on the arch of the door and if there is another one higher on that side. don't take out anything else. Put your knee on the door and pull the top of the frame towards you and you can fish it out past the frame. It works the same on the front. I've done it lots of times. After you put the latch in, if it doesn't work from the outside. Take a pen or something and latch the latch. Look through the latch where the striker would be and you will see a allen head bolt. that needs to be tight or the outer handle wont open the door.

You could get a panel pry tool at the parts store if you want.

Basic tools and a panel popper tool is very helpful. screwdrivers, sockets, wrenches, etc, nothing too exotic
