Good luck keeping steering wheel controls, I don't know of anyone who has been able to after replacing a head unit, myself included, though I haven't researched the topic in quite some time.

I replaced my head unit last month. Have full function of my steering wheel controls. You have to install a separate module but works flawlessly.

Huh, that makes sense. Got a link to the module you're talking about?

Whoo, 85 bucks. Thanks for the link, maybe I'll get it one day when I'm a little richer. Haha

Premium sound system, hmmm, does it work OK? ....................... yep ............................... hmmm, that can't be a genuine Rover premium sound system then

Seriously, I have a top of the range sound system with multi CD changer, sub woofers, navigation system the lot, bells and whistles etc. Yep, it does the job but is all outdated by today's modern systems (not that I'm a sound guru) Every speaker has Harmon Kardon embellished in gold lettering (whoever HK are) the option, I believe, cost a kings ransom but was standard on the european ES model. Whereas my RRS has a similar system but of far better quality and oozes with useful on screen data including satnav. In all honesty I cannot remember most of the features on the D2 let alone the RRS and in most cases I have never used anything like the full capacity of either system. Maybe I'm a luddite

Welp finished te install. Straight forward except for the blue amp turn on wire. Figured it out and now in have a media Bluetooth head unit. I can't say how happy I am I can stream pandora. My disco just became even better and the stock speakers sound awesome. My daughter can't wait til school so we can listen to the Disney station on pandora in the jungle car haha

Here is a link for the adapter. Even on crutch field it was 70, so eBay is the clear choice for this.
