How do you check tranny fluid on 02 disco II
How do you check the tranny fluid level on a 02 Disco II? I was trying to get it drained and filled with a local mechanic. He said there is no way for him to check it or change it. I need to go to LR dealer?

No, but you do need to go to a mechanic who at least knows hoe to service your tranny. It is a drain and fill, why not do it yourseld and save some money?
No filter is necessary, just drain it, fill it thru the side fill hole, start the engine, go from drive to reverse back to park, leave running and go fill it one more time till fluid comes out the fill hole.
