Progressing with front cover gasket replacement. Finally got oil pan off. I figured out how to unplug the oil sensor but, I can't see how you get the CMP plug off. Would really appreciate it if someone would share the secret. It's the little things that are the toughest!

 

Couldn't you just take the bolt off and pull the sensor, if the plug is too tough?

 

I could try that, hopefully it will come out before the wires get twisted too tight. It would be nice to know how to unplug it though.

ain't that the truth. 1 1/2 hours for the 'little things' and 20 minutes to actually do a job. I've had a few of those!...

 

now that I see the picture, it is the oil sensor plug that I am having problems with. I couldn't see a place to squeeze or poke with a screwdriver. Dusty, thanks for the help.
