My car is getting up to 220. It normally runs at 188 to 196. Ac on it just goes up.

Under 200 is the sweet spot with AC on. I have a 2003 that runs at 195 max(180 t stat). 2004 that runs at 190 (inline t stat mod- 175).
Check the electric fans.

188.6 on the freeway, AC on or off.
197 at idle max, same with or without AC.
I frequently run in ECON mode but have tried turning it completely off just to see what the temp does... nada diff.
