I thought the same thing. That is why I asked what year his was. If the speedo is out it is usually because of the ECU or a short or the LCD is no longer working. The D1 I know have a Speed Sensor but I didn't think the D2 did.

just for info... in the Microcat says the following...

  • D01.030 SPEEDO TRANSDUCER (FROM (V)7A000001)
  • TRANSDUCER SPEED
  • Part number: YBE100530
so it looks like it has a speed sensor... hope this can help....

Oh well...I will have to look into Rave on Monday.
Yeah unless I misread wrong...it Watson auto trans section page 44-3 in the exploded view item labeled # 4 and says speed sensor. I thought same thing too.

See Attached. Looks like Oreily carries them. Learned something new today. Hope this fixes your issue. From what I can tell it should just pop out.

Import Direct Ignition 13-0342 - Speed Control Sensor | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Land Rover Part # is STC4444.

A transducer and a speed sensor are different pieces, the transducer really just relays the speed of the mechanical cable to another cable.

I posted this link much earlier in this thread. I don't think it is the part you purchased is the problem. Read the original thread that Zack (ZGPhoto) here: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...working-58937/
