I didn't remove the compressor i set it aside, it makes things much easier. is just four bolts and a connector, then i placed it inside the air filter box. I was also changing the cooling hoses that go to the throttle plate and setting the compressor aside makes the whole things easier. There is no need to suck out the freon or anything.

Well, I tackled this last night and finished up today. I was indeed able to replace both coil packs without removing the Intake Manifold. Only required a small 8mm combination wrench and contorting my hands a bit. Don’t be scared to try it first. So glad I didn’t have to tear the top end apart.
Tried to get you guys a picture to show you I actually did get them out. Those are the new coil packs waiting to go in. I broke The plastic fitting on the pvc breather on the intake manifold while I was moving my arm around trying to get in there. Easy fix.
