How well does a D2 SD roof rack fit a D1?

if you can get a good deal on it....any welding shop could shorten it for maybe 50$

The D2 rack looks fine as is on a D1.

It works widthwise but will be about 6" short.
If you can find a good deal on a DI rack, grab it, use it for a while, and post a trade ad and you'll find a someone willing to swap eventually.

That is some good advice. Well I have a D1 SD rack I believe, covered in diamond plate and really want to use it on the D2 I just got, but just want to know how ugly it'll look. If I can find a rack just like it, I'll trade right away
