Hypothetical Mistake
So I may or may not have forgot to reinstall that sheet metal baffle thing in the oil pan when I pulled it searching for one of the valve cover gasket spacer deals.
It's back together.... How much will I regret that?

That baffle keeps the oil pickup from getting starved under acceleration, deceleration, and cornering. It's more important on performance vehicles, but with all the problems you run into with these engines already, I wouldn't risk it.
The Disco oil pan is very deep, the baffle is largely in the front to prevent starvation on braking or steep downhills, it only slows down the flow does not stop it. I would not worry about it. How much do you drive if steep downhills (Discos don't have strong enough brakes to be a concern).
