I broke the brake servo hose

i broke the brake servo hose on my 2000 Discovery 2
at the manifold.

what does this hose do and is there a quick fix ?

I think I gives vac. To the break booster I broke mine when doing headgaskets. Got a new one from a/b. two types with sec/air & with out. Good luck blamo
