Default IAC installed backwards?

I decided to clean the IAC tonight to see if it might smooth out the idle a bit. When removing it I noticed the green tag was facing down. I kind of remembered a few pics of other folks D2 Engine bay. After I cleaned it (keeping the electronics up) then realized I was not sure what way it installed. I when to the RAV man and saw the airflow direction and then looked at the arrow on the IAC and sure enough it was backwards...I think. Green tag is now up. I didn't read the RAV (I love pictures) so I wasn't sure how to reset it but most cars I have owned you just start it and let it idle and the computer figures it out.

Maybe its not as big a deal as I thought it was but, she is running a bit smoother at idle now.

Quick question: I just noticed a video on YT where the electrical connector on the IAC has a spring clip. Mine did not have the clip when I removed it to clean it. I know it had a distinctive "click" when I pushed it in but wondering if I should be concerned?
