Default Iacv wire?

I don't know if beer was it last night or what but I can't find the wire connecter that goes on the iacv. I had to take off the upper intake due to dropping a bolt that was stuck by the coils. I'm sure it's not under the intake but I can't find the wires? Anyone have an idea or know what harness this goes too so I can find it? Thanks

That wire doesn't really go anyplace (as far as distance from the valve itself). The wire goes from the valve right into the wire harness that sits directly behind it (the wire harness that travels across the top of the firewall). You could have sat the intake manifold on top of the wire.

The wire from the harness to the valve is only like 4 inches long, so it can't have gone that far.

That's what I am thinking. I hope not but... Looks like the intake might be coming back off. I getting good at it now!

I lost it when doing my head gasket job. The bracket had been unbolted at time of disassembly and when it came time to put it back together it was behind the cylinder amongst other things. Check behind the intake manifold by the coil packs maybe?

Also be sure the IAC Valve connect was not plugged in the driver's side coil pack.

The connector for the coil pack and the IAC are the same and if the connectors were swapped, the coil connector will drop down below the heads.

If you run your hand down that part of the harness (a large part T's off and down behind the engine) you should feel the wire coming out of it (I think it's the only wire that leaves the harness at that point). The wire comes out at about the exact same level as it plugs into the back of the IACV. Shouldn't be too difficult to find. Remember, the wire is only like three inches long, maybe four.
