Default Idle Air Control Valve

This is my current situation...my idle air control valve was making this high whinning sound, I took it off and cleaned it but it didn't really solve the problem. I purchased a brand new one, installed it and the whinning sound is so much worse than the old one. A little history: I have changed the MAF, alternator, water pump, spark plugs, and serpentine belt. Do I have a bad idle air control valve or is there some electronic promblems?
Thanks for your help.

Are you sure it is the idle control and not your secondary air?
Does it do it only with the engine running or when the key is on too?

I believe it is the idle control. It happens when I accelerate and idling. I just don't know if the new part is suppose to make that noise till it is broken in or the system is resetting itself. The only codes I am pulling have to do with the MAF. It idles at the dash below the 1 (don't know if that is 800rmps). It is just driving me nuts because I don't understand why it is doing that.

NO, there is no brake in time on new parts. Find out exactly what you put on and get back to us. Do you have any fault codes showing?

Sorry took a few days to respond. Okay the idle air control valve doesn't make any sounds now (new one). Should I still think it is defective? The codes I am showing is
P0102 and P1884. The MAF is new. I have tried resetting the codes but they come back. I guess may questions are now...send the back the IAC and get a new one and how to fix those two codes.
Thanks for your help.

What brand of MAF is it?
Unless it is a BOSCH MAF they tend to not work correctly.
