Default ignition coil reliability

Wondering about ignition coil reliability, as it seems I have gone through several recently. Any other users have definitive experience with different brands of coils and their subsequent reliability ? (Not really interested in what your brother in law heard or opinions based on something other than facts - actual experience only please). I had reverted to buying low cost ebay versions but wondering if it might be better to get something different as I have gone through three in the last 3 months. Never really had much luck with Bosch electronics reliability - the Japanese and American electronics were more reliable in my past experience with Bikes and cars, but would like to hear other long time owners experiences.

I've used Standard Motor Products (SMP) UF545 coils for years with zero issues. They cost $41.79 for the complete assembly at Rockauto. It's your call, but it's an easy trigger to pull IMHO.
And since you didn't ask....As for my brother, he uses Bosch and his trucks run like

I think the last pair I got was made by QFI or something like that. Zero issues with any of the aftermarket coils in the 35-50.00 range. No experience with the 22.00 sets.

A 95 Kia Sportage with the 2.0L SOHC 4 cylinder engine uses the same coil pack.

I have tried the ebay coil packs they are about $52.00 and doimg well. Im not sure how the Karlyn coil packs work but I heard they are the best for over $200 a set.

Thanks for the shared experiences guys. I think I am going to try the Kia Sportage version with lifetime warranty from Advance. At $35 ea they are reasonably priced and with the warranty it will probably at least soften the blow of change cost.
