Im not sure how long it will hold but I just sprayed it with contact cleaner (green can from WD40) by inserting the straw inside until it overflowed and dripped. Its been starting right up but I felt like the key slot is very loose now. I'll check how long it will stay good but in case it get bad, I have a replacement. The thought of chiseling seems to be a lot of work.lol bandaid for the mean time.

 

X1 ............ Also electric welding might screw up the ECU and BCU unless you disconnect them first.

 

Good luck LR03NJ, changing the ignition switch assy is to liken it to a bad dose of haemorrhoids, it's a real PITA.

Try hang onto NOT doing it as long as possible.
