Default ignition key stuck LR3

well after resolving the flooding issues on my '06 LR3 now the key gets stuck in the ignition after I turn off the car ...is there a solution to this? I tried shifting out of park and back but nothing.. the only way I can get it out is by disconnection the battery...

Thanks

I don't know anything about LR3s but on a DII the symptom you describe can be caused by a failed or misadjusted XYZ switch, also known as a neutral safety switch or starter inhibitor switch. It is mounted on the left-hand side of the transmission. A quick Google search informed me that the LR3 also uses a transmission made by ZF so it may use a similar XYZ switch setup.
