I remember someone a while back trying to track those wires down to fix the CKP connector.

Have you replaced the CKP?

Yes. I did manage to replace it and it is plugged in properly but I don't know what the situation is where it is connected to the ECM (or wherever it goes)

Do a Google search for "D2 Electrical Library." That document has every connection described, along with the wire colours, signal purposes, and destinations.

I see that you can rent the TOPIx documents by subscription by the hour or longer.
Any good stuff there?

the iLAND diagnostics app has a test for the Crank Position Sensor. In real-time it will test the "tooth edge count" . That should show 0 with the key on, but when you turn the engine over you should be able to see that number increase if the Crank Position Sensor is working. I just put in a new Crank sensor but my reading stays at 0 when I crank the engine. Could be a faulty ECM. I hope not. The diagnostic app shows that there is a possibility for a problem between C0636 and C0168 in the Black-Yellow, Pink-Black, or Black wires, OR Connectors C0636, C0168, and C0714 . C0714? that is an Air Temp connector behind the grill.
That is pretty specific information about why the CKP is not functioning. Now for how to test them all out (don't know how to do that) before moving on to the next possible reason why the car wont start.
