Default Inexpensive Bluetooth option

I picked up a small Bluetooth device made by Monster at Walmart a few weeks ago on a whim. It was only $13 bucks so I figured there was not much too loose if it did not work.

I was skeptical since I had a similar device that plugged into an older style iPod and used a radio frequency to play music. That one always had static.

Also, if you a wondering, I've been too cheap to buy the Grom unit.

I'm happy to say this thing actually works well.

It allows me to play music from my iPhone and make and receive calls.

It has connected to my phone via bluetooth every time. It plays a signal when they synch.

Now to be realistic:

Is the sound quality as good as a factory bluetooth unit that come on newer cars? no

Do you get some feedback

? yes

But is it cheap? yes.

Can you just replace it if it breaks after a year? yes

And, it has a couple of USB ports for phone charging so you don't give up the ability to charge your phone.

For me with my D2 as a second weekend rig this is a great option.
