Injector Size?

Default Injector Size?

Can someone tell me the injector rating (Lbs) of the stock injectors on an 01 disco?

Well, I don't know the injector m# on an '01, but my '97 DI used 19.2# lucas (stock).

I replaced with 19# fords as my old ones leaked.

If you do the math, you need just under 16# @ 80% duty cycle, the ECU will back off the pulsewidth to a 19# injector to get what it needs.

19# at 40psi is good up to 300hp or so. -- Don't get crazy or you'll be pulling them back out.

Do your homework, more injector does not give you more horsepower all things equal.

Thanks for the info! I was looking at a set of ford 19# injectors as well. The spray pattern on those is outstanding. I replaced the ones on my Dodge with fords and that alone made a noticeable increase in power and fuel mileage.

I just didn't want to run too rich. Does it matter what the impedence is? The stockers appear to be high impedance, and I believe the ford ones are low impedance.
