Default Update to inline thermostat install

I have put some miles on since my install. My original plan was to see if lowering the temperature of my cooalnt sytem would lessen or elimanate the knocking from my engine. So far I am very happy with the results. Driving around town for a day and the knocking seems to have been cured. I will continue to update as I drive more and get more information.

First, cooling the temp by a couple of degrees won't correct a knock. Where was this knock coming from in the engine?
Second, if you want to cool your engine, do it the right way and you a soft spring t/stat that will cool a good 10 to 15 degrees while leaving the rest of your coolant hoses intack to promote better flow.
