Thanks. No downside to removing the wheel arches. I had intended to refinish them but once I had one side off and the adhesive removed ( 3M adhesive wheel does it in seconds ) I liked the look and just ripped the other side off. It was satisfying to toss the arches in the garbage can. I had little faith in my skills to revive them anyway.

Roof of rack is Safety Devices. Four years ago I saw it on a Discovery in a shady used car lot. I stopped and offered the the guy $400 for it. He didn’t blink which means I could have had it for less. I just checked Rovers North and they are asking $2600!! That’s more than my truck is worth!

I bought the ARB bumper in a similar way. Some guy had a disco with a blown motor and I bought the bumper off the truck for $300.

This gets my vote for best stance. If Tonka made a Discovery it would look like this.

^^^agree^^^
I'm going with the 285's next time. Granted, l like to hear Richard's review on preformance, especially out of the hole. Know it will be diminished, but is it painful or not? Yeah, l'm not expecting a 911...but do folks walking take you off the light...lol. Brian.
