Default Installing OME 2" today!

Just got my OME shocks, springs and dampner + a new set of 4 spring isolators yesterday from Expedition Exchange. My buddy that lives in LA had to drive by there to get to SD so I saved on shipping.

EE matches their springs so one side doesn't list. I was able to tell them I wanted the taller side for a tad bit more lift. 8)

Should start the install in a few hours.

good luck with the lift... its not too hard to do once you get rolling on it... we removed my old springs and shocks with an acetylene torch to save on some of the headache...

I saw those photos! Looked like fun, but I'd probably burn through my break and abs lines, so the fire stick stays away from the rover on this one.

Are you the discoxd on dweb that's building the front rack?

What size tires are you going to run?

Sweet, my OME will be here on Sat. I was thinking about the 265 75 r16 but was not sure if the would rub. Mine is a DI but I am sure they should fit. Post the pics when you can. I would like to check it out!

i have the RTE 2" lift with OME shocks and 265/75/16 buckshot xmt mudders on it... they rub at full steering lock... u can either adjust your steering bump stops or do like i do and just dont turn your wheel so far... also you can invest in a set of wheel spacers and it should alleviate some of the rubbing issues, but then of course you move your tires outward and may run into some more rubbing at full suspension flex... but yes 265/75/16's will fit on a D1 with minimal rubbing

Did you have to use the spring compressors and disconnect your front drive shaft? I will be doing mine next week.

spring compressors yes... remove driveshaft no... but there is an easier way... once you get the truck up off the ground and the wheels off, disconnect your tie rods and stuff on the front and the sway bar... then take a bottle jack and place it on top of your axle in between the axle and frame or at least something solid under the vehicle and use the jack to push the axle down enough to easily maneuver the springs into place... understand?
