Default Installing Terrafirma sliders with tree bars question

Has anyone on here installed these? I removed the plastic gaurds last night, but when I jack the new one in place it bottoms out on the metal lip on the rocker. Are you supposed to drill your holes that low, or do you bend the metal lip over so the bars can rise up and line up with the factory holes which are the same pattern as the terrafirma bars? Thanks for any help or tips on installing them. Man it is stupid that you pay that kind of money and there are no directions. Heck my spare tire relocation kit had directions, you would think this would LOL.

WK, it's not a super simple job

Do you have a cut off wheel? There's a 10" section of the front fender that bends around under the truck that you need to cut off. Nothing you can see from the side, but they won't go all the way up if you don't. I had about 5 holes line up perfectly, the rest I drilled a pilot hole and used a step drill on both the front and the back.

Okay PM me your email address and I'll give you as much detail as I can. Do you have access to a lift by any chance? Or two floor jacks?

I'll do instructions, and then hopefully WK can take photos during the install and we can mesh to get a write up.

We can probably arrange to get it listed in the "how to's" and in the modifications section of the forum once ZG & WK get the write up done!
