intense leak (spray) of transmission fluid from D2
i don't recall how that hose connects to the water pump cover. if it's a standard clamp on a hose over a spigot, try examining the hose for splits or checking to see if the clamp is loose. sometimes doing something as simple as cutting off the degraded end of the hose and re-clamping it will fix the problem. if that does fix it, it confirms that the leak is not from the water pump gasket and at that point i would recommend replacing the hose because it may have deteriorated to the point where it could burst or split again in another place.
i got it from oreilly it was $37 and the description says its a 180 degree, i bought the only one they had with a 180 in the info, the rest where cheap $15 ones, both my hose and thermostat have a 2 year warranty

The O'Reilly is probably a reboxed Motorad... look for markings on it. Motorad thermostats have had a low level of quality assurance over the last few years. Many of them not being actual 180's in the 180 box. You can use it until you get the proper one or you can get the proper one now and not do the job again later. One of the units linked above will do the job right the first time.
While flushing be sure to run it with water in system and run the heat for a while, that will get the Dex out of your heater core.
Search on here for proper bleed procedure as well. An air pocket can cause you to overheat.
Good luck, hopefully it is only that hose.
