Default Interior Lighting help

Hello Everyone...

I have a 2003 Discovery and my climate control buttons have stopped lighting up. The backlight display lights up green with the temperature settings but the buttons no longer light up.

Can anyone tell me the troubleshooting methodology they would follow step by step in troubleshooting this problem?

Thanks all...

Default RE: Interior Lighting help

hello all... I'm posting to my post because I forgot to add "other" things that I need help with.

1. Cruise control. > everytime I set it at speed 70mph on the freeway it is not smooth. ie: it feels like the gas is applied then let off and drops below the 70mph setting then speeds back up to stay at 70. Ive had lots of cars and this is the only one I've had that does this. Question. Is this normal? If not what could be causing this?

2. Windshield wipers. > takes about 10 to 15 seconds to engage once I turn it on (at any setting)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe the lights can be replaced for the climate control.
Your cruise control is vaccum operated and when you get a leak it will act up or not engage. Might want to check all the vaccum lines for the cruise including the one that run thru the fire wall to a switch at your brake pedal.
As for the wipers, does this happen on the rear wipers also? If not it sounds like you may have a wiper motor starting to fail.

Thanks...

Looks like I'm going to need a good repair / maintenance manual for my Disco... can you recommend one?

Go to E-bay and buy a Rave cd that will contain the manual, usually costs about $10
