Default Interior lights time out quickly

Hey,
Just got a new to me 2003 Discovery 2 SE. It does something my 99 Disco 2 didn't. The interior lights time out very quick regardless of if the doors are open or not. If I open ANY door the lights go on for about 3 seconds or so and then dim out. It doesn't matter which door.
Is this adjustable? I worked for Chrysler as a Master Technician for well over a decade. I know ours were adjustable on most models. I'd like them to stay on longer for at least 30 seconds.
Thanks,
Randy

I do not know the answer to this Randy, talk to your dealer, I see no reason the ECU could not be reset.

Also noticed today that if the rear liftgate was ajar there was no warning of this? Anyone else have an '03 so I could compare trucks?

I don't have an answer for your dimming lights either and would like to hear what you find.
As for the tail gate, I will check mine and get back to you.
