Default Inverting Spare Tire Mount

Hey guys so I've decided to reverse my spare tire mount to gain enough clearance so I can put a 275/65/18 tire on the back. It's all going together pretty easily. However I've noticed that reversing the mount pushes the rear wiper blade up some on the window. Will this be a cause for problems? Should I cut a notch in the mount so the wiper will have it's original range? And if I did would I lose some integrity of the mount? Or is it not that big of a deal?

I'm sure some of you guys have done this before. Thanks for the help as always.

You can, as most do, notch out a small area on the carrier so the wiper area will clear.

Notch it. That's what I did. I also drilled new holes so I could still use all 6 bolts.
