Default Ipad RAM Mounts for Off-Roading?

I tried searching the forum, but I have not been able to find any posts related to this.

I use by Ipad Air (9.7") for navigation when offroading. I am looking for a way to securely mount the iPad, near the center console area. Has anyone used the vertical RAM mount where the base is bolted to one of the bolts of the passenger seat frame?

Or does anyone have other creative ideas? I would love to see pics of your installation.

Thanks!

Yes. I have the RAM mount that bolts to an existing seat bolt (see below). I don’t believe it would be a good choice for off reading mainly because of the length of the pole. It tends to move even though it is very secure. For highway travel it meets my needs but any bumping and such would be hard to focus on the screen because of movement. I would go with a dash mount or a mount that is shorter in length to prevent the vibration and movement associated with a longer pole (mount).
