Actually the healthcare system in the Netherlands is based entirely on private insurers, rather than a single-payer or entirely national system. They have a similar system in Switzerland. Sweden is considering private medicine again because of the failures of socialized medicine.

I have found this so far and I am doing more research to educate myself on their systems.
So far their system works and the people love it.

You guys are too funny!

Healthcare is no longer free, the cost si about the same as in the US. There is one significant difference: My wife was insured through her company, got pregnant, and resigned. Before the resignation was in effect, she contacted Aetna to inform them of the change and Aetna simply refused to re-insure her since she has a pre-existing "condition". In Holland an insurance company would not be allowed to discriminate based on a pre-exisiting condition. They can make it more expensive, but it would be unlawful to refuse medical insurance to anybody. In fact it is unlawful in Holland to not be insured. You will get fined! Anyway...

Anybody interested in one of the 2 DII's I have for sale?

Oh, I also have a Safety Devices full length roof rack (the high one that allows for the sun roofs to open). It can be sold separately from the 2000 DII. It is in very good shape and $500 is my price. Unfortunately shipping would kill you, so local buyer would be best...
