Default Junkyard 4.6

Maybe I'm crazy but I have wanted to pull a junkyard 4.6 for some time now and rebuild it on a stand in the garage.... Now I have found one that looks EXTREMELY clean and for an okay deal ~$200. Its fully assembled minus the intake. The truck its currently sitting in is a 2003 DII WITHIN the VIN range. Now my thinking is that this motor must have been replaced from a dealership or the like. The valve covers have been pulled off and this thing looks like it has had the heads cleaned or something. The whole truck just looks like it was taken care of overall but it was totaled by hail. Of course I have no real way to know because its a pick a part yard. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for reading

I agree really nothing to loose if the crank and rods are good

Honestly, having an engine on a stand would make working on it fun. Plus, you get tons of spare parts.
