this just aint right
AK Rover,
I've been out for a while however, I served 15 years in TAC and SAC we always felt if it weren't for us the Air force would have been an unscheduled airline with really fast planes. I do however know it takes the whole team to keep em flying, cheers - Thanks for serving. The items my crews and I put on the planes gave them something to do once they got to the playground. [&:]

IL has the most unusual weather. it could be 90 one day and then the next its 30.or it could be 6 degree one day and then the next45. rain one minute the next sunny.i remember one year back in 86 i think it was in the 70 degree in December at Christmas time.last year in the coldest part of our year it began to snow very heavy and it was thundering and lightening as i was walking my dogs.that was weird.
Dholland I didn't realize we were neighbors! I am over in sevierville and I agree we need more snow! I usually just drive up mt. leconte during the winter to play in the snow. I personally don't care wether its global warming or cooling... we need to change our habits just so we can live a better, cleaner life. The cancer rates are skyrocketing and there is so much crap in the rivers and air that can kill you or make you sick. I don't think for one second that we are killing the earth... we are killing ourselves! (but im still going to drive a gas guzzling rover!)
The problem Disco Mike is that "Global Warming" is now amulti billion dollar industry. When that happens you have to be really carefull about the sources you go to. The scientific community is really letting us down when it comes to investigating all of the possible causes of a warming trend. There are quite a few different theories on why we may be in a warming trend that are not fully examined.
The NOAA has a interesting theory called "arctic oscillation" that deals more with atmospheric pressure.
And if you want to get "un-scientific" about it, ask yourself why the farmers almanac is still able to fairly accurately predict trends. If this was a situation where man was causing irratic weather due to pollution, then how would anyone be able to predict weather? The almanac bases a lot of its weather patterning on sun spots. Why isn't this a more studied subject?
Just saying, be carefull what media you consume when it comes to issue like this. And ask yourself why believers of global warming are so quick to reject any other possible causes.
