Just picked up a 2000 Disco II (120,000 miles) with a short laundry list of problems. Was hoping to get some help as I am new to the forum. I have tried using the search function with no definitive results. Thanks!
1. The Passenger's side from window will not roll down. You can hear a relay when the button is depressed, so I assume this is a motor. Please advise. Where is the best place to purchase one?
2. The central door lock button does not work.
3. The rear windshield wiper does not work.
I'd be interested to get a keyless lock/unlock key, as it only came with a standard key. Would this require a module inside the car to receive it or did it come wit that already?
The front bumper is a little busted. I would also be interested to upgrade the headlights and front bumper to the 2003/2004 model style if that has been done.
Please bear with me as I'm a newb. Thanks!

Hey guys,
I just bought a disco II yesterday and didn't want to start another topic, so I'm posting this in here. My disco has quite a few issues and is pretty much trashed on the inside but I can fix that. I have a few mechanical issues and would like your opinions on the best way to get all this fixed.
1. The person I bought it from took the heater core out and he said I have no heating/air. Does taking the heater core out effect the A/C?
2. The ABS, hill descent, and traction control lights are on.
3. there is a horrible exhaust smell inside the car when I drive and rolling all windows down does not get rid of the smell. What could this mean? Is it because the heater core has been taken out?
Thanks in advance for all your help.

Central locking button...mine never worked and I never needed it.
Rear Wiper...there is a good chance your nut holding the wiper arm on is loose, grab a wrench and check it.
Keyless entry...look around online for a fob with the guts. Be carful, a lot of people sell key fobs with nothing in them as upgrade cases. you want one with the guts. I paid around $70.00 for a key with fob and then another $60.00 to have it programmed and you'll also spend a couple bucks getting the key cut.
bumper fix....For the money that you'd spend upgrading to the newer style bumper you'd be far better off getting an after market steel bumper. Anywhere from 500-1200. Lots of guys on this forum have them.
Also, grab a jar and label it "head gasket job". Start putting money in it daily. At some point within the next couple years you will need to spend upwards of 1500-2500 on a head gasket job. It doesn't matter how great your truck runs or how good the interior looks. The head gasket job is coming.
