Man I get that feeling all the time! Every time I exit the vehicle and start walking away, I always stop and turn around just to give it another proud glance lol. Every time I see another Disco, it makes me think about how lucky I am to own one myself! Whenever I see the older Disco's I think about how much I love the 04 body style hehe. All in all I share your enjoyment. My Disco is probably one of the most comfortable vehicles Ive ever driven.

My XJR was leaps and bounds above all my other cars as far as comfort goes, WAY ABOVE, and I've owned many cars. But the Land Rover is a nice combination of comfort and off road prowess for sure.

Went to the commissary during a t-storm a few days ago, pulled out 3 people while wading water on the way back to the house. Got a lot of beer the next day as a thank you.

Man I really love mine. I drove it for 3 years totally stock and did all the maintenance and a few little mods here and there. Then over the last 3 years I did the basics 2" lift, sliders, steel bumpers. F/Rs drive shafts. Now that I have moved to Denver. I have joined a 4x4 MeetUp group. It has been a blast. For the last 6 weeks I have gone on 5 outings that have taught me all the intermediate wheeling skills I could ask for. Leaning wheel placement. Tire pressure and line selection is key. Its also fun to be the only Rover and show these Jeeps, Toyotas and other guys that I can hang with them all. Nothing like hanging with the greenies and watching them crunch some bumpers. Now I have a PowerTank from craigs list and a CB. Its on.

Sat 4/20 = Slaughterhouse Gulch = Deep Snow Exploration

Sat 4/06 = China Wall/Goose Creek Road 2 CastleRock = Moderate w/easy go-arounds

Sat 4/27=Saxon Mtn & Cascade Crk= with on Ledge Switchbcks= Lead by the GOAT

On this train wreck of a trip 2 separate Jeeps broke their front right U-Joints. One trying to pull out another Jeep. And the other trying to break a snow trail. How dumb, I let other people do all the stupid stuff

Sweet. Yes, I have to admit, I don't mind driving in bad weather in my Rover. It's super stable, quiet, and great traction when needed.

My wife's New Beetle makes me nervous. I keep waiting for a branch to fall on our heads through the convertible top.

We are lucky. Until we need to fill the tank.
If you down it to empty once a week - that is nearly $400 a month.
I got mine down so far that I did get $100 into it.
And, it was even a cheap Arco station.
A payment on a new car.

You have to remember that car payment still needs gas too. I spend about 350 month in wife's disco, my passat payment is 325 plus the 200 a month in fuel. I'd rather have another paid off disco

Also guys, the key to owning a Disco is having a small business. So you can deduct that yearly $3000 fuel bill on your taxes + maintenance. Its also a commercial vehical weight in most states. About time Uncle Sams gives back when I need to look good, running around the city and state buying and selling goods.
