Update! They are off now, but after 20-30 min of driving they pop on. So weird!! Also, my front drivers side light went out....so random.

(Thank you for your insights. (btw I do not have airbags)

The light went off on its own. Got lucky! Now I got a chirping sound to deal with….

Chirping is often reported to be the front driveshaft. Take care of it before it grenades and takes out your transmission!

depends on what shaft you ordered. A GBR or tom woods no. If you bough the cheap one from L8 then either return it and get a woods or GBR or you can try and run it with a spacer I suppose. I don't have any experience with any other driveshafts. But I'd be very wary of the cheap L8 with any amount of lift...

The cheap L8 shaft is OK if you go in knowing you get what you pay for.

I installed one about 5 years ago and just now a U joint is starting to squeak... I suspect it is probably the center ball rather than a U joint as that is the part getting the least lube and right in the hot spot between the cats.

For under $200 I would consider it safe to use if you keep an ear tuned for any squeaks and keep it lubed with every oil change.

I will find out which part failed on Friday.

GBR built the shafts in my last Disco. They will be building the ones for my new one as well…
