the Disco never had an original working fob upon purchase; these keys were bought 2 years apart. The latest arrived yesterday from a known working vehicle.

it isn’t the fob; especially not the new fob.

as I stated the NanoCom accepts the codes; syncs the keys; but will not detect them; and the RF Test on the NanoCom does not obtain a signal from the RF receiver.

ordered one yesterday $20.
they are plentiful on eBay between $20 and $60, with right part number; which is YWY 1000450L or some later had YWY 000090.

on a side note; you CANNOT buy a new one from Land Rover dealer, or Atlantic British; the part has been discontinued and is no longer made. My LR tech at LR of Louisville told me they can’t even order a new one for in house service. Dave at Atlantic British told me they can’t get a new one, and do not have a replacement.

Well the diagnosis was correct; pulled the headliner today; took an hour....exposed the RF Receiver; the new “used” RF Receiver came in yesterday. Plugged it in; hooked up NanoCom had both keys coded in less than 5 minutes.

So IF you have keys that will not DETECT on a NanoCom no matter what you try. And you are sure your keys are good with proper 315mhz frequency....I would replace the RF Receiver.

Remember you can’t buy a NEW one; the part is no longer made. But you can buy one from a yard or off of EBay...I paid $20 for this one.

Congratulations.

I'll admit I was skeptical that the receiver was the problem. Failures of DII electronic components are pretty rare, based on my observations of this and other forums the last 10+ years.
