Default 03 disco key stopped unlocking doors??? Not battery

OK Im narrowing all the little issues down and glad, its turning out to be actually kind of intresting and involved.

Anyhow its a 03 disco II se the battery on the truck went completely dead or to where it sounded like the siren was all whacked out and not enough power to it. The remote worked one last time and has not since worked. The battery has been changed in remote and still not working, is there a basic way to sync it or resync it with the truck.

It worked and when the battery on the vehicle went dead its not worked since!!

Dash switch works, heyhole on door works and arms alarm but key buttons dont work!

IS there a sequence like door lock/unlock ingnition turn key un turn key then hit button LOL or something like that.

Thanks, Travis

are you certain it is the right battery. if it is and its installed correctly and the backing isnt damaged then its a new remote.

you cant resynch them unless you have the original key numbers. they are seventeen characters long and have to entered into a testbook to resynch.

You will need to jump the battery by going thru the starter. If you want help with this, send me your tele number and I'll call you today.

I watched the remote work the first day! I replaced the battery exactly as it was in there with a new one! Both batteries old and new lit the LED up brightly with no difference!

THe issue arrised after the battery on the disco went dead, we unlocked the door and after putting it on a charger it no longer worked but the alarm works from keyhole and everything works fine so Id say its a sync issue!
