2003 Disco. Well I finally broke down and went to the locksmith, He had the broken key out of the ignition in 5 minutes.

so here is the new problem.

How do you get the old key blank out of the key fob?

 

Take a screw driver and pop it off.

 

If you have the remote, and your key is broken on the end, put the broken end into a vice, tighten, and pull on the remote. When you get the new key end, you'll have to apply a lot of force to get it to snap back into the remote. I had to do this last week.

Taking apart the remote won't help, I already tried. I was hoping there was an easier/safer way LOL.
