ok.. so my baby is in need of new wires and sparkplugs... I'm well aware of that, and they were ordered today.. gunna get in on Saturday.

the question is, how long can she take it until she flat out dies?? She already has the SES light on, and shakes whenever she gets to an idle... I've got to take a trip out of town tomorrow afternoon, and it will be a total of 2 hrs, back and forth... give or take a half hour or so...

Can I make it?? [&:]

You can and will damage your cats with that long a drive.

Can and will is right, if you haven't already. Sucks that you ordered the parts already but take it down today to an independent shop and have them cut you new wires and install a set of platinum plugs that you should be able to get at any parts store. I had a bad run with an f150 doing the same thing and a $50 tune up that I didn't get cost me $400 for a new cat and a de-carboning of my head and exhaust manifold.

 

Why does it suck that i ordered them already? I wanted to get the ones Dico Mike recommended which were the Magnacore's and the Plus 4 spark plugs..

No one around had the wires.. and I got them at a good price..

also.. there are no independent shops around either, and I don't want to take it to the dealer...

So, I didn't use my baby to drive me two hours out of town; I just used my sisters car.
