The stupid KR site wants $149 a piece for the 94 Discovery remote, and they're about 1/3 that price on ThePartsYouNeed site with the instructions included. I ordered 1 this morning.

I'll keep you guys posted. If it works good, I'm going to order one for my 97 as well.
I bought a new flip key button remote on eBay for my 03 HSE7 Disco II and it came w no directions. I was hoping it was gonna was like my Nissan Titan, Simple, but doesn’t seem so? There’s no directions nothing. So is this not something I can do on my own? I read all of this thread and replying to you bc seemed like you were able to find a way to program yourself? Any info appreciated! Ty

on this forum. somewhere, you will find a site that sells you the key hardware and electronics plus a code copier - the code copier when sent back will get reimbursed
if I am not mistaken the total is about $110
And now something that no one will believe I guess... At the OUTLET mall in Auburn, WA there is a Burlington Coat factory, at their store exit towards the parking there is a fully automatic key copier machine that charges $150 - you stick the key in, it creates the hardware, reads the software keycode, programs the fresh key and off you go.... handy if you find a key on the parking lot from someone else - the whole process takes 4 minutes!
Also for a mere $10 or less you can order a switchblade key with space for the Land Rover electronics and it comes with a naked key blade ( check for a site called WISH and do a search for Land Rover key

oh man that would be nice, I’ll have to search and see if anything here in TN. And the one I bought on eBay is the flip key w remote fob, is that what you mean by switch blade?
