I moved back to NYC after several years in LA and Im in need of a great Mechanic as well. Any suggestions in the NYC area for an LR4 service? I'm hesitating to take it to LRManhattan for fear of the sticker shock.

If you need real work done, something that benefits from a specialist, I would suggest Highline on 9. In Brielle, probably an hour south of NY. Chris pinned my liners, he knows these inside and out, he is on this board occasionally.

When I am in a pickle and cannot do the work myself I call Carlos at British Auto Works in the Bronx.

Thanks for all the replies guys, much appreciated. I actually am starting to see anything that can go wrong with a truck goes wrong with this truck although there is a DIY for everything. I was ready to buy new plastics for the whole truck but I found a DIY on here to restore them that looks awesome so i'll pick up those supplies today. I also found another DIY on fixing the seal on the rear door so I'll be trying that today also. The only thing I'm confused about and I'll bring to the mechanic is the rear lights and rear sunroof. Apparently the guy i purchased the truck from told me something about if the rear lamps are out the truck wouldnt go into drive, never heard this and maybe something else was wrong but apparently he paid to have it fixed but now I only have 1 rear light, left side and only the brake light and left tail. Weird thing is when i hit the brakes at the exact second the left light goes out and the right one goes on??? Very strange and i need to get them all working to pass inspection in NJ, at times like these I hate that i changed my reg and insurance from FL to NJ. I miss having no inspections, ARGHHH!! Well looking forward to meeting up with some members here, I have just about every electronic tool there is. For the rover I'll be using JLR SDD to diagnose and fix the issues I have, can't see there being a better tool than the dealer one.

Thanks
Frankie
Hi, did you end up using this guy? Did you like him? If so, could you please pm his number as well? Thank you so much

I have used him for major engine work, he is on here as masterrover tech or similar.

I have complete confidence in him, he knows these trucks like no one I have met.
