I will say this also, if you keep it, dont ruin it. Do things that you wouldn't do with a DD but dont push it to a point where it wont work anymore. Like Night Train said, since body panel damage is a non issue you can go some pretty cool places and have some fun weekend trips. And they when it dies on its own (if thats possible) you will know it was a trustly Land Rover that truly could go ANYWHERE. I think thats cooler than saying... oh I killed my rover by taking it off a jump that would ruin any car. Put it to a real test, show some jeepers how its done, and go on an adventure.

 

I wouldnt roll a vehicle just for the fun of it..especially one with 2 glass sunroofs. what part of the country do you live? are there any really hard trails nearby?

 

Agree with some of the other posts here. No better feeling than to hand the keys to a father of 3who just lost his job and needs transportation, or a wife whose husband beats her up and she needs to get away. Don't waste the gesture on a deadbeat.I'd godown to the local rescue mission orbattered women's shelter and talk to 'em about who needs wheels the most. That memory and probably the family too, will pay you back with a lifetime of gratitude.

I gave my old Celica to a helluva guy I knew who needed it. It's felt good ever since and he's warned me that if I ever set foot in that town again and pay for a hotel, he's coming for me.
