Is this a leak in this picture?
Im in the middle of a water pump/oil pump/ power steering leak fix and I noticed this area on both front corners of intake manifold. It is the consistency of chewing gum and I was wondering if it is a coolant leak or if its some kind of gasket material from a headgasket job last feb. Is this a problem? I dont see any coolant just this gummy stuff that is close to coolant color. Please help.
Thanks

Thanks

IMHO that would be sealant for the corner notches of the valley pan gasket, had to be done when replacing after the head gaskets. Shop practice from RAVE attached. Of course, you would not want a continuing leak there of oil or coolant.
I talked to the guy who did my headgaskets and he thinks it's normal. They use some kind of gasket goo in that corner and he said that oozes out with a few drops of coolant and makes what I'm seeing.
It looks like Dexcool to me too...
