I think that's what the auto detailers/upholsters who fix trade ins at dealerships do

best i can tell unless you can see through the finish like boots and saddles its all painted.
Especially upholstery.

Leathers don't have colors and don't shine. They are artificially added. Guess what was used??? You guessed it. Some liquid that has color in them, paint. Special type.
